Is a Home Theater For You?

Friday, February 5th, 2010

You can experience theater like quality right in your living room but you need to a learn a few things. All you need a a screen, receiver, and surround sound speakers.

The new Audio-Visual receivers combine both a high quality DVD player and the receiver into one piece on handy equipment allowing you to get both a clear picture and a great surround sound. In order for you to get the same effect at home you are going to have to add a receiver to your home theater system as this receiver takes the surround sound signals and breaks it up sending it to the speakers that it should go to.

As most people know, one of the things that makes watching a movie in a theater such a great experience is that the action is life size because of the big screen the movie is shown on.The bigger the screen, the bigger the action. So you you should try to get a big screen for your home. In order to view a film you need a projector. You don’t actually need a projector but you will need a Blu-Ray player. Now you are all set to watch your movie as if you were in a theater.

Now you need a good sound system so you can hear the movie.Movie theater sound great because of the number of speakers and their placement.Theaters don’t just have one or two speakers for you to hear the movie though they start with three speakers near the screen itself. One on the left, one on the right and one in the middle of the screen.Additional speakers are also added down the sides of the theater all the way to the back. Handily enough this use of multiple speakers used in this way is called surround sound. Now you are getting close to that theater experience but the sound is not quite right.Movie theaters not only surround you in sound but different speakers are used to give you different sounds. One speaker may be wind while another may be a persons voice. You should try and get at least 6 speakers for your home theater. You’ll want 3 in front, 1 on each side, and 1 in back.

Home theaters can be expensive but are a must for anyone who wants a great entertainment experience in their living room.If you think you’re ready for a home theater then take a look at some resources online or visit your local electronics store.

Home cinema speaker system

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

There are many home cinemas to choose from, part of these systems is the speakers. There are many manufacturers producing high quality speaker systems. Perhaps the top of the line is the Bose system.

The Bose home cinema speaker system has moved to wireless technology. Though they are not the only manufacturer to gain this technology they are certainly one of the best. Bose has always been well known for their radios and audio quality. This has only improved. Bose is now making a wireless speaker system. This means the hub of the speaker system plugs into your TV and transmits the digital sound signals to the speakers. The speakers are smaller in design and therefore less intrusive to your home d?cor. In fact your neighbors may not even realize that the speaker is sitting on a shelf or mounted on the wall unless they take a closer look. The audio is a digital signal this means the hub receives the signal quicker and with better quality than the old systems.

When looking for a new home cinema speaker system it is wise to compare other products. The Panasonic home cinema speaker system comes equipped with the Dolby digital sound. One of their top models has 2 Dolby ProLogic decoders built- in giving you the sound you’d find in a movie theater. This lends to the overall home theater experience. Even if you are interested in the speaker system to play CD’s you will find the digital sound quality produced by the Panasonic system one of the top best.

Cost is another issue when looking at home cinema speaker systems. Bose is definitely more expensive than the Panasonic counterpart, but you have to look at the quality you receive for the price and the features of both systems. When weighing the wireless Bose system against the Panasonic speaker system you might find wireless technology to be more important as a cosmetic feature. I would certainly do away with my speaker wires for wireless technology so I wouldn’t have to look at the wires running through my home if I had the choice. You might find the Dolby digital sound more pleasing to your overall goals. In this case the Panasonic speaker system would fit your needs more than the digital audio of Bose.

The point is there are many home cinema speaker systems out there for you to choose from. It is up to your preferences and the manufacturers you have dealt with in the past to make your decision.

Wirelessspeaker

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

Do you wish your surround sound system was wireless? Are you tired of looking at the speaker wires along your walls and ceiling or floor, just so you can have that movie theater sound? Well technology has finally advanced to allow for wireless speakers. Bose, Sony and other manufacturers have several systems to choose from with the wireless technology. When choosing the best system for you home cinema you should be aware of some features of home cinema wireless speakers.

Wireless Technology

The technology used by the wireless speakers is much the same as the wireless Internet. You have to have wireless card and a transmitter. The hub of the surround sound system is the transmitter it receives the sound signals from the television and sends it to the receivers in the speaker or what you can think of as the wireless card. This wireless technology eliminates the need for speaker wire cluttering up your home. It also allows you to place the speakers wherever you need to for the best sound quality.

Speakers

The speakers are a new design. Instead of being big boxes that take up a lot of room you now have an unobtrusive speaker. This speaker is usually white so it will blend in with your wall paint. You can purchase speakers that allow for wall mounting or speakers that will sit on shelves and look sleek. The wall-mounted speakers such as the Bose system are usually round and might remind you of your car speakers. They also have the shelf speakers that are cylindrical with a wide base. The size of these speakers is minimal and will no longer take up floor space.

Cost

The cost of the surround sound system will depend on the manufacturer and the quality you wish to purchase. While all systems have a great digital sound, the more expensive units such as the wireless surround sound may produce a higher quality than those still running through speaker wire.

Home cinema wireless speakers are the new technology for your home entertainment center. The new surround sound system can be purchase online or found in stores. If you are interested in more detailed specifications of speaker size heading to the manufacturer’s website will give you the information you need before heading to the store. With the new technology of home cinemas you will find wireless speakers are just the tip of the features you can find.
