Next connect the device to your receiver. The counter is in between the antenna and receiver. It is marked on the black plastic connector counter which is connected to what. Now is power up. Point your dish to an area of sky with no signal. Note that there is a small amount signal from the ground called background noise so do not point there. Also, do not just put your hand on the LNB that your hand will actually reflect the new LO signal in the LNB and appear as a weak signal. If your dish is done then the main method is fine. Now, adjust the knob on the front of the camera until just beginning to move the counter and begin to whistle. This adjusts the sensitivity of the meter so that you can see once you have the slightest signal. Now, point the dish and the center as best you can on the desired satellite. You have to use your receiver for too help identify what satellite you point because this counter Cheapo is stupid and will record any satellite signal. Once you have a little pointed, you can now move to the sensitivity of the meter peak to help even more. Once finished, unplug your receiver's power again, redo your connections taking off the line and that's it!
