$999 hd1080p compared to High End 1080P Home Theater Projectors
Sunday, March 14th, 2010Here is a bit of video designed to help users determine if the new 1080p true HD 9 projectors or the current best selling projectors are a better fit for their needs. Given the limits of recording apples to apples differences, please be aware that brightness, contrast, and other differences may be more or less dramatic in person than in the video. We have chosen to compare the new Optoma HD20 9 1080 p projector and the Epson Home Cinema 6500 UB k+ projector to illustrate the differences between the two categories – entry level versus high end home theater. This video is meant to provide a broader overview of the two categories of home theater projection – new entry level DLP, and high end LCD. Quick Video Log 0:08 – 1:50 : Overviews / specification comparison 1:53 – 2:25 : Contrast comparison 2:30 – 3:30 : Zoom lenses compared 3:32 – 4:20 : Lens shift demonstrated 4:20 – 5:01 : 60hz vs. 120hz Please Note : You will see some artifacts from the compression of the video that are not caused by either projector. Particularly when our narrator passes in front of the screen, or when the image is moving quickly. These artifcats were not present before compression. If you are interested in a higher quality version of this video, please email me. Thanks! [ more here : articles.projectorpeople.com ]
